The power of words - Article

Greetings for you all in the matchless and wonderful name of Jesus. Today we are going to discuss about some essential steps we immediately needed to take in to action. That may be in your home, in your work place anywhere it is. We know that our words have power. Our words can change the atmosphere around as immediately, our words can change someone's life for good and it can change someone's life for bad. Let me share an example for this. We can see some peoples in our society that no ones wants to go to them. They are really annoying. They always talk negative things about them and all the ones with them. They made a very negative atmosphere around them with their words they speak. Bible says

Proverbs 18:21

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits" 

We must me very careful of using words. I was really not aware about these things in my life. And when  I came to know about these things, I chose to make study in these area. God is always there for bless us. All we need is to reposition ourselves in order to receive the blessings from God. One of the main things that blocks the God's blessings from our life is our words itself. The words of faith shows a faithful heart. That we can see in the bible

Matthew 15:18 

"But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person"

So if we speak faith, then our heat will fill with faith. Jesus in his ministry in this earth mentioned about speaking the right words. This we can see in Luke 8. This is an incident were Jesus was going to heal the daughter of Jairus.

 Luke 8:49-50                                                                                      

"While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. "Your daughter is dead," he said. "Don't bother the teacher anymore." Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.""                                                                          

Here it is. On the way to the home of Jairus, someone came from the house of Jairus saying a hopeless word to Jairus."Your daughter is dead". Hearing this Jesus suddenly warned Jairus that "don't allow that words to take root in you". Because that words has power with it to destroy the faith of Jairus. Jesus said "Don't let that word in and lose your faith, but only believe. You will see the miracle of God". Faith comes by hearing the word of God and it will become root when you start to speak it out through your mouth. We are accountable of the words we speak. Bible says 

Matthew 12:36

"I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak"

So use your words carefully. Speak only faith. Speak only the word of God. That will bring success and prosperity in your life. Bible says 

Joshua 1:8

"This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success."

God says that "Do not depart my words from your mouth". Yes, we all are used to speak wrong words from a long time before. It is really difficult to stay positive in the difficult situations. But you have to do it on purpose. You may not seems like having any results at the very start. Don't be discouraged, instead keep up hope and do it again and again on purpose. And you will start seeing things changing in a course of time. There will be a lot of discouragements like the man who came from the house of Jairus. When you got any discouraging words from your friends or your family or your co-workers, just take time to sit alone with God and hear what he has to say to you. "Don't be afraid; just believe, and you will be delivered". 

Today i am gonna give you some steps. This is actually an filtering method that you can use to filter your words before you speak it. Before you gonna speak a word just pass the word through these filters

1. Is that word true?  

    (You words must be true)

2. To which person I am going to say this word?  

    (Think about the person's current situation)

3. Will that word bring any positive values to that person? 

    (Your words must make a positive meaning)

4. Is that word is suited to speak in this situation?  

    (Check the situational meaning of the word in that person's life)

5. Will that word be acceptable in sight of God? 

    (Say that word to god first and get feed back before you speak)          

Control your tongue. That will solves more than half of your problems in life. There are a lot of verses about the power of word in the bible. Some of the important ones given below for your knowledge.

Proverbs 21:23 

  

"Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble."

Proverbs 13:3 

"Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin" 

Matthew 12:37 

"For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” 

James 1:26

"If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless." 

Proverbs 15:4 

"A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit." 

Proverbs 16:23-24

"The heart of the wise makes his speech judicious and adds persuasiveness to his lips. Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body" 

Proverbs 10:19

"When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent."
