The Joyful Life - Article

Greetings to you all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Today we are going to discuss about the importance to maintain the joy in our life. I was heard about a barter system that existed between people for purpose of trading at the time when the currencies are not used. At that time people would trade by exchanging the goods among one another. If I got some rice and one of my neighbor had some eggs with him. I will give the rice to him and I get the eggs in return of the rice that I gave him.

 Now, in our everyday life we are going through this kind of a trading, but the only difference is, here the goods are our spiritual values. In most of the situations we will give up our joy and peace for some non beneficial returns like sorrows, anxieties and worries. In fact we don't need to give up our joy for any such situations in our life. Like one of our pastors said once in a Sunday morning, that we Christians always have a reason to be happy. That's our lord Jesus Christ. That's our salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ. Through that We are given the freedom to go to the throne of our king at any time and spend time with Him. He gave us the freedom. He not only gave us the freedom, but he gave us the promises that any one who ask me something in the name of Jesus, He will grand it.

 The faith is the foundation of the joy and hope in our life. The faith in Jesus and his sacrifice gives us a new hope about our life, that may fire a light of joy inside our heart. You know, this joy which is given is a very essential part for the growth of our life in every part. Whether its physical, spiritual, mental, financial or what ever situations you can name, all of them demands the hope, joy and peace which together makes faith in our mind and with faith only we can move the God's hand. Bible teaches that the Jesus came to the earth, he took all the shame and suffering for our sins and he died in our place. Through the innocent blood of Jesus we are sanctified and cleansed and every one who believes this can stand as righteous before god through the blood of Jesus and can receive all the blessings from our heavenly father through faith. Bible says in

    Philippians 4:4

    "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!"

 You know, the joy and peace is the must have things in our daily life. Because these are the only things that can bring us the growth and progress in our life. When a person is believing in Jesus Christ and confess it with his mouth that Jesus came to this earth for him, he lived for him and he took all his sins and he died for him in the Calvary and still living for him, and when he got baptized in water, he will be saved. At this moment he will get a state of mind which is full of joy and peace. His name will be added in the book of life. He is a new born person. Bible says in

    2 Corinthians 5:17

    "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

 This is the actual process of becoming a born again. He has nothing to be worried about, all of his sins and shames is washed away by the blood of Jesus. And this must be the mind set of a born again Christian. Unless one can get this kind of an attitude cannot attain any kind of growth in the life.

 We have the indestructible joy in Christ our Savior and these gives us hope in everything we are doing. We know the word of god and we know that he will deliver us in the due time. He will not be early and he will not be late but he must be in the due time. This is not our time, but its the time of god. He knows when we are ready. The time in between the starting and the time of the breakthrough is very important. In most of our situations, It may seem like time is too late, or it may seem like no changes is taking place at all. In all these situations we usually lose our temper and we will start reacting in a negative way. We will start murmuring, complaining, blaming people or even blaming God. The end result is, we will give up the joy and peace when we allow the problem to bother us. This is not the way of reacting to the situations for a born again Christian. But we must always have faith inside of us that our God is good, Even though I can't see any visible change I believe that God is still working. Even though it seems like been already late, it's not late for God to turn around the very thing in your favor. When we start to believe and confess this, and when we have this kind of attitude during our waiting period, then suddenly we start to see things change. You will meet the right person, You will get the right phone call, You will get the right hike, You will meet your right life partner. But all this is up to what choice we are gonna make at the time of waiting something from god. The very dangerous and pathetic thing that even though they possess a positive attitude about these things, I had seen in many Christian's life like they possess a habit of quitting when one is overtaken by a temporary hindrances. I read a story in a book that I am reading now. The story was about a man caught by  the "gold fever" in the gold-rush days, and went west to dig and find the gold ore. He went to work with pick and shovel. After weeks of labor, he was rewarded by the discovery of the shining ore. He needed machinery to bring the ore to the surface. Quietly, he covered up the mine, retraced his foot steps to his home, told his relatives and few neighbors. They got together money for the needed machinery, and had it shipped. He went back to work the mine. The first car of ore was mined, and shipped to a melter. The returns proved that they had one of the richest mines in that place. A few more cars of that ore would clear the debts. Then would come to the big killing profits.

 Down went the drills! Up went the hopes of him. Then something happened! The vein of gold ore disappeared! They had come to the end of the rainbow, and the pot of the gold was no longer there! They drilled on, desperately trying to pick up the vein again--all to no avail. Finally they decided to quit. They sold the machinery to a junk man for a few hundred dollars, and took the train back to home. Some other men, He called in a mining engineer to look at the mine and do a little calculating. The engineer advised that the project had failed, because the owners were not familiar with the fault lines. His calculations showed that the vein would be found just three feet from where the previous man stopped drilling! That is exactly where it was found!

 Sometimes we Christians are like this. I was like that until I met Jesus Christ. I was always used to compromise in each and everything. Sometimes I quit when a small hindrance come in my way. Sometimes I got some level of victory over the area that I am working on, But I don't wait until I get the fullness that god wish me to have. I was satisfied with a thirty fold. But god wish me to have a hundred fold. We must not satisfied with a thirty fold, if a hundred fold is available, we must go for it. When  we receive holy ghost, he will give us a fire inside. That actually beyond words can explain. These fire will let us have maximum potential in what ever we are doing. We are not able to compromise in anything that we are doing, because we are not doing it for the people but for our lord our father in heaven. I always felt like that. So I will do anything and everything that I can possibly do to make what ever I am doing perfect. Bible says this in

   Colossians 3:23

   "And whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men" 

So don't give up in anything. Just keep doing the right. Your reward is in the half way. Be wise in using the waiting period. And inherit all the blessings that God has in his store for us. God bless you.
